Mt. SAC Women’s Beach Volleyball Team Clinches Victory Over El Camino in Nail-biting Conference Showdown

In a thrilling display of skill and determination, the Mt. SAC Mounties Women’s Beach Volleyball team narrowly secured a victory against El Camino College, edging out their opponents in a tense conference battle. The clash unfolded at the ECC Sand Courts on Friday, March 22, as both teams vied for the coveted second place in the conference standings.

With court one and five witnessing intense exchanges between the duos, spectators from both camps gathered around the courts, eagerly anticipating the outcome of the overall match.

The tension reached its peak when the court one duo, consisting of Warriors Ryan D’Angelo and Bridget Dorr, faced off against Mounties Zyra Green and Andrea Brewer. In a dramatic finale, the Mounties emerged victorious, sealing a hard-fought 3-2 win over El Camino.

The Warriors showcased their prowess early on, securing a convincing victory on court two through the dynamic duo of Sophia Ortiz and Erica Griffiths. However, the Mounties swiftly retaliated, claiming victories on courts three and four, courtesy of Candace Ceballos and Angelina Griego, and Sam Parks and Kyra Miller, respectively.
